When I received this foundation my first thought was that a mistake had been made, the shades were much darker than what I would think "Light" would be. But it really was the lighter shades. I'm fair, but not uncommonly so, and can't imagine being able to wear these colors. I tried even the lightest one and it looked unnatural. I can't really comment on the product further because I haven't been able to wear it and experience all the wonderful benefits that so many women talk about.

I have been wearing AVC's "lily" shade for years and love it. Sometimes in the mid-winter months, I notice the lily shade is slightly too dark for my fair complexion so I was elated when AVC came out with a shade a little lighter than the lily. In comparing the "bisque" to the "lily", I have found the "bisque" to be subpar for the following reasons:
(1) For whatever reason, the consistency of the bisque is not as smooth as the lily. Consequently, it seems that more of the bisque foundation is needed on a per-use basis than the lily, which takes very little.
(2) The bisque foundation does not double as a concealer nearly as well as the lily. When using the bisque, I found it necessary to apply extra concealer to blemishes. With the lily, this is rarely necessary as its coverage is so good that minimal concealer is needed.
(3) The bisque has more of a pink tone than natural so, while it is lighter, it is also not as neutral as the lily, which may not suit some skin tones.
In short, I do not find that the two lightest shades of the AVC foundations will work on the same skin. I had hoped to find the perfect mid-winter shade in the "bisque" but it did not work for me.

I was sure I would need to continue using my Dermablend industrial-strength cover creme with the AVC foundation, but I think I've needed it once for something really ugly. Keep in mind, Dermablend has been a crutch I've held onto since my high school acne days some 20+ years ago. This was a big step here, LOL.
Most of the time, I don't even use the AVC concealer, either--the foundation covers that well on its own. The AVC foundation is nothing like any other "cream" foundation I've ever used--it certainly covers well and doesn't "slide" off your face!

I have used AVC creme foundation for many years for my face skin tone is extremely lighter in some areas and this foundation has always covered it completely and smoothly and using the face primer with it gives my face a dewy look which helps for I have lived in a very hot climate for many year.

Panda eyes here... I've been living with these problem all my life. Trust me... I've tried every single concealer in the market and... they just get all cakey and it gets all wrinkly
There are two foundations that really helped solve the problem... one is the Doublewear foundation from Estee Lauder....and the AVC creme foundation which I say... has more staying power! I don't even need to use the concealer anymore. After I apply the base all over my face...I pounce up a few more extra strokes on the eye area and pat pat pat... and voila! Trust me... the AVC foundation worked wonders for me!!!

This is the best foundation ever! I am using this for over... 4 years. I tried many others, but never better than this! I get tan for my body, but I do not get any tan on my face. And this foundation does great job for natural tan look! :)
