Use Lip colors with enough brightness to light up your face, which can look monochromatic with the popular hair highlighting, this is Key to achieving a less washed out look and a more healthy tone. Using colors on lips also makes your Teeth look even whiter!

Always start with a clean face. For dry skin, use a light moisturizer first, and then apply your makeup. For oily skin, clean your face well, then go the extra little step and cleanse with astringent in your t-zone. Then apply your makeup. Also, if you have oily skin, try using our Retexturizing Face Primer instead of a moisturizer.

When doing touch-ups, always keep powder with you and freshen up several times daily. This helps you stay fresh and perky, even at the end of the day.

You can use AVC Creme Foundation for body touch ups, where you might need to cover up varicose veins, bruises, tattoos, moles, scars etc. Also, AVC Magic Yellow and other concealers work well for those issues. Rule of thumb - Remember yellow tones (Magic Yellow) are to get out redness or brownish problems, the more orange tones (Banish-Vanish) takes out the problems that have a blue, or purple color to them. Tattoos are easiest to cover with just your foundation so choose the color that matches best the area around the tattoo if it is your arm or leg try and match the closest to your skin tone then it will look more natural when you try and cover it up. And don’t forget even on the body you still must powder to set your area so that it will really stay!

Make sure to powder a couple of times a day, not just in the morning. That will keep your makeup and your foundation on longer and into the evening. This will help you look fresh at the end of the day.

When you go to apply your makeup in the morning make sure that your face is squeaky clean. Don’t apply moisturizer if you don’t have to. If you do have to apply moisturizer, do it very, very lightly. Too much moisturizer in the morning can make your makeup slide off. Moisturizing at night is great but try to avoid it during the day.

When you do your blush, always look in the mirror and smile at yourself, then put the blush where the apple of your cheek is and go straight back into your temple. Do not suck your cheeks in like you may have been taught. That can make you look too hollow and not healthy.

Make sure to blend your foundation down below your jaw line and into your neck. You should use a Sponge Wedge to do this and not your fingers.

To quickly and easily tone down your double chin and excess jowls in a natural way, use the excess blush on your Blush Brush and just stroke back and forth to shade these areas away. Not too much, you want to apply it very lightly to make it look like a natural healthy glow. It must be so slightly applied that you can barely see it at all, it just looks like a shadow.

When covering freckles, lightly use AVC Creme Foundation to diffuse them a bit. Don’t over-cover the freckles; they won’t look natural. AVC Foundation is perfect and never looks heavy! It covers the freckles just enough to save that natural youthful cute look.
